FAQ
Can I bring my own music on the day? Yes you can as long as the backing is on a CD and has no offensive Lyrics.
Who are the judges? The judges are prominent in the entertainment industry who have vast knowledge in singing, dancing and entertainment.
How is voting collated and verified? We have auditing in place by an external body to ensure that fairness, accuracy and integrity are adheared.
Can I play an instrument? Yes but only as a prop as we mainly use backing tracks for the contestants to sing to and don't cater for Instruments to be plugged into the P.A. System.
Can you send me the Backing Track so my Child can practise? We are sorry but we are not licensed to sell or give you our backing tracks but they are usually in the same key and are arranged the same as what you normally here on radio....if you needed something to practise to you could easily download a version from iTunes.
Can I change the key of the song? Yes you can ....when you register on the day please advise us then if you need you song to be a semitone or tone up or down from the original.
How many songs do I need to sing for the competition? You will need to sing one song for the heat and if you win your heat then a different song for the Grand Final.
If I am declared the winner in my category can I enter again next year?
Unfornuately you will need to wait one year before entering again....runners up can enter the following year.
Do I have to be taking singing lessons to enter?
No you don't , this event is for any child to enter and have fun being on stage.
What if I am registered to sing but cant make it on the day ?
We understand things happen but it would be appreciated if you call us to say you are not coming rather than not show up and we are left trying to fill your space.
